50 show series of ‘Gulab Gatha’ commences

UDHAMPUR, Nov 2: The 50 show series of acclaimed Hindi film ‘Gulab Gatha’ commenced here today at Government College for Women Udhampur with two successful opening shows.
Audience largely comprising college students and faculty members enjoyed the film and appreciated each succeeding sequence with applauds.
The local collaboration and support was extended by the Department of History and Heritage Club of Government College for Women, Udhampur.
Prof. Anjali Mahajan, Principal of the College was chief guest on the occasion.
Speaking on behalf of Natrang, Neeraj Kant presented an overview about the production process and the story of the making of Gulab Gatha.
He thanked Dr. Karan Singh, Chairman of Maharaja Gulab Singh Memorial Trust for supporting and inspiring Natrang to produce a film on great warrior and visionary Maharaja Gulab Singh who created J&K State.
It took Balwant Thakur and his team of scholars, creative people, designers and actors over three years on research and mobilisation of resources in creating this film in J&K.
The film ‘Gulab Gatha’ is about the journey of a soldier who achieves great success at everything he initiated. His unquestionable obligatory obedience towards Lahore Durbar, his unconditional sacrifice and his conception of a kingdom has been regarded and given value in this film.
The most noteworthy part of the film was dynamic acting by local artists. Sunil Kumar Palwal, a meritorious pass out of FTII and popular TV/Film actor has done a great job in portraying different shades of the life of Maharaja Gulab Singh.
Lead lady role in the film was played by Gauri Thakur.
Prominent amongst others performed in the film were Arvind Anand, Madan Rangeela, Sudhir Jamwal, Suresh Kumar, Janak Khajuria, Anil Tickoo, Sanjeev Gupta, Neeraj Kant, Vijay Bhat, Subash Jamwal, Sumeet Sharma, Gaurav Jamwal, Rahul Sharma, Aftab Singh Chauhan, Meera Tapasvi, Aarushi Thakur Rana, Brijesh Avtaar Sharma, Lalit Kumar, Aman Sharma, Akshay Razdan, Kanav Sharma, Jatin Sharma, Brighu Sharma, Sumeet Raina, Naresh Kumar, Udit Sagar, Sushant Singh Charak, Vanshika Gupta, Sanket Bhagat and Shivam Sharma.
Technical crew included Maloop Singh (Technical Director), Sanjay Kumar (Cameraman), Kamal Sharma (Makeup), Neeraj Badyal (Film Editor), Sartaj Singh (Production), Mohd Yaseen and Gaurav Jamwal (Coordination).
