52 cases of unfair means framed in Mendhar

POONCH, Mar 9: The SDM and the Flying Squads of J&K Board of School Education (BOSE) today visited several centers of Class 12 exams in Mendhar area of district Poonch and framed 52 cases of unfair means.
The BOSE team led by Assistant Secretary J B Singh had come from Jammu after receiving information about mass copying in many exam centers in Mendhar area. At Govt Higher Secondary School Chhatral the squad started checking in three centers and recovered more than one gunny bag full with slips and other material seized from the students. It was Physics paper today. There was no police deployment there and team contacted SDM and SDPO. Later, some cops were sent there. In another nearby centre they framed seven cases of unfair means. A total 27 cases were framed at this School. There is strength of over 1000 students at Chhatral.
It is the same centre where staff had been changed hardly two days back but mass copying practice could not be stopped. Mr Singh told Excelsior that such mass copying is not possible without the involvement of staff and he has forwarded report to the Secretary Board of School Education regarding action against staff. At Govt Higher Secondary School Mankote the BOSE team framed 16 cases.
The SDM Mendhar, Ramesh Kumar, during surprise visit at Govt Higher Secondary School exam center Harni, found mass copying going on and framed 9 cases of unfair means. He pulled up invigilating staff and recommended action against them.
