UDHAMPUR, July 10: A middle aged woman committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence in Khoon, Majalta.
A police spokesman said that Rano Devi (52), wife of Sandokhu Ram, resident of Khoon, Tehsil Majalta, consumed some poisonous substance at her residence. The family members noticed her in serious condition and rushed her to PHC Bharnara. In view of her serious condition, doctors referred her to District Hospital Udhampur where she died.
Cause of provocation behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while Police has registered a case for further investigation.
