JAMMU, Mar 7: 523 passengers of Kargil were airlifted to Kargil/Leh from Jammu and Srinagar in Indian Air Force Aircrafts, today.
305 passengers were airlifted from Srinagar to Leh in IL-76 aircraft and 22 passengers from Kargil to Srinagar, 5 passengers from Kargil to Jammu and 191 passengers from Jammu to Kargil in three sorties of AN-32 Kargil Courier.
This was informed by State Coordinator Kargil Courier Service Aamir Ali. The passengers expressed their gratitude to CEC LAHDC Kargil Feroz Khan, Chairman J&K Legislative Council Haji Anayat Ali, Deputy Commissioner Kargil Baseer-ul-Haq, and Indian Air Force for facilitating these sorties.
