53 test COVID +ve in J&K

JAMMU, Apr 17: A total of 53 new COVID-19 positive cases were reported today from Jammu and Kashmir, 28 from Jammu division and 25 from Kashmir valley.
The highest number of 15 cases were reported from Jammu district, followed by 7 from Pulwama, 6 from Anantnag, 5 from Ramban, 4 from Kulgam, 3 from Udhampur, 2 each from Kathua, Samba, Srinagar, Budgam and Bandipora, and 1 each from Poonch, Baramulla and Shopian districts.
As per reports, a total of 2,162 COVID tests were conducted in the Union Territory in last 24 hours. The number of active COVID cases in the UT as on date is 738, 345 in Jammu Division and 393 in Kashmir region whereas 72 COVID patients recovered today, 33 from Jammu division and 39 from Kashmir valley.
The highest number of 222 active cases is in Jammu district, followed by 85 in Srinagar, 50 in Baramulla, 49 each in Kulgam and Budgam, 45 in Anantnag, 33 in Pulwama, 32 in Kishtwar, 30 in Kupwara, 23 in Bandipora, 22 each in Ganderbal and Udhampur, 19 in Doda, 11 in Ramban, 10 in Samba, 9 in Rajouri, 7 each in Reasi, Shopian and Kathua, and 6 in Poonch district.
