54 qtls Govt ration seized, dealer arrested

DODA, June 11: Gandoh Police seized 54 quintals of Government ration and arrested a dealer.
As per police sources, on specific information regarding illegal sale of Government ration, a team from Police Station Gandoh led by SHO Inspector Vikram Singh conducted raid and apprehended a ration dealer along with 54 quintals of Government ration, which he was about to sell to a private shop at Tawai Market Changa. The ration was meant for distribution among the people of Chanti village.
The arrested dealer was identified as Bashir Ahmed, son of Abdul Rehman Wani, a resident of Soti Dudwar Tehsil Gandoh.
A case under FIR Number 59/2021 under Sections 409 IPC and 3/7 Essential Commodities Act has been registered against the dealer at Police Station Gandoh and investigation started.
The arrest was made under the supervision of SDPO Gandoh Shahzada Kabir Mattoo and Incharge SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom.
