POONCH, July 27: The police arrested six wanted criminal who were involved in different cases but were at large for the last several years in Poonch district.
Official sources said that in continuation to the initiative launched by SSP Poonch, Mendhar Police under the supervision of SDPO Mendher Neeraj Padyar depute a special team headed by SHO Mendhar Manzoor Kohli to nab the persons absconding in various cases.
Today early in the morning, a team from Mendhar Thana raided at different locations and apprehended six absconders.
A warrant under section 512 CrPC had been issued by the local court. They are identified as Mohd Sahakeel, son of Mohd Latief from Mankote, involve in case FIR NO 28/2012 U/S 376/366/511/109/RPC; Mohd Aftar, son of Mohd Akram, resident of Gohlad and involved in case FIR No. 89/2014 U/S 341/ 336/ 323/ 427/ 325/ 147 RPC; Mohd Rayaz, son of Khan Mohd, resident of Narol, Tehsil Mendhar, involve in case FIR No 135/2011 U/S 341/ 323 506 RPC; Khaliq @ Khaki, son of Jumma, resident of Kasblari, involved in case FIR No. 159/2007 U/S 452, 323 147, 148 RPC; Shakeela Bi, wife of Mohd Saheed from Salwah in Mendhar and Mohd Zabeer, son of Khadim Hussain of Chhungan, involve in case FIR No. 77/2011 U/S 419/ 420 RPC.
These accused were absconding since 2007/2011/2012/ 2013/2014. The apprehended accused persons, after completion of all the legal formalities were produced before the court of law.
