JAMMU, July 22: Police today arrested six persons under Gambling Act from Hotel Krishan Plaza, Shaheedi Chowk here, a police spokesperson said.
He said that the arrested persons were identified as Manjit Singh Tandon, son of Krishan Singh Tandon and resident of Lane No 5, Rehari Chungi, Jagdish Kumar, son of Late Nanak Chand and resident of H No 219, Janipur Colony, Sanjeev Kumar son of Sudesh Kapoor and resident of Lakkar Mandi (Janipur), Zahoor Ahmed, son of Mohd Ayub, Anayat Ullah, son of Ali Shah and Riaz Ahmed, son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din– all three of Qamarwari Srinagar.
A cash amount of Rs 44160 was also recovered from their possession, the spokesperson said.
