RAJOURI, Dec 2: The police seized six bovine animals being smuggled to Kashmir valley via Mughal Road and arrested one person in this connection today.
A police spokesman said that a police naka party from Thanamandi Thana, during naka at Pangai village intercepted six bovine animals being taken towards Mughal Road on foot by one Basharat Hussain, son of Barkat Hussain, resident of Marha in Surankote. The police seized the animals and arrested the alleged smuggler. He had to load these animals in a vehicle at some distance and was moving on foot just to give a slip to police. A case was registered against him.
