6 bovines rescued

SAMBA, Nov 4: Six bovine animals were rescued at two separate places during checking by Samba and Kathua police today.
As per reports Samba police rescued three bovine animals and also seized the vehicle in which these animals were being smuggled at village Sargal.
Police said a team of cops from Police Post, Rakh Amb Tali headed by SI, Deepak Bharti, in charge of Police Post under the supervision of Inspector Chanchal Singh, SHO Samba and Deepak Digra, Dy.SP Hqrs Samba, during surprise naka checking at link road near village Sargal, Samba intercepted a Mahindra vehicle without Registration Number which was on its way from link road Patyari- Gangeeth towards Samba.
During checking of the vehicle, three bovines were found laden inside it which were being transported illegally. The vehicle was seized on spot and all the bovines were rescued. In this regard, a case FIR No. 292/2018 U/S 188 RPC, stands registered at PS Samba.
It may be recalled that the vigorous drive against the bovine smugglers has been launched by District Police Samba on the directives of Dr. Koshal Sharma, SSP Samba.
A team of Police Post Hariachak, Kathua also foiled a bovine smuggling bid and rescued three animals in the area.
Police team during checking at Hariachak seized one Mahindra Bolero bearing Registration No JK08F-2913 illegally carrying bovine animals. In this process Police saved three bovines. Police registered a case FIR No 252/2018 under section 188 RPC, 3 PCA Act. Further investigation into the case is going on.
