UDHAMPUR, Oct 24: An accident led to rescue of six bovine six animals, which were being smuggled to Kashmir in a vehicle.
The bovines were being smuggled in a Load Carrier, bearing registration number JK14J-4330, which was on its way from Sundrani Katra towards Udhampur Srinagar road. The vehicle turned turtle at Dhanu Morh around 3.45 am following which its driver fled from the scene.
On receiving information, a Police party reached the spot and rescued all the bovine animals, which were packed in a brutal manner in the vehicle.
A case FIR number 272/2023, Under Section 188/279 IPC 11PCA Act has been registered in this connection at Police Station Rehambal.
