6 bovines rescued, smuggler arrested

RAMBAN, Mar 14: Police rescued six bovine animals and arrested one smuggler.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Ramban Police Station laid a naka near Shan Palace and intercepted a person carrying flock of bovine animals.
During questioning, the person failed to give satisfactory reply and police arrested him for smuggling cattle. Six bovine animals were rescued by the cops.
The arrested person has been identified as Ghulam Hussain, son of Abdul Satar, a resident of Kaskoot, Tehsil Banihal.
A case under FIR Number 51/19 under Section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Ramban and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Ramban Inspector Vijay Kotwal made the arrest under supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban Asgar Malik, Additional SP Sanjay Parihar and SSP Ramban Anita Sharma.
