Jammu, Jan 4: Jammu and Kashmir Police in Nagrota claimed on Wednesday that they have seized and vehicle and rescued 6 bovines being illegally transported.
A police spokesperson said that a police team of PS Nagrota under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Pardeep Kumar and SHO concerned Inspector Vishav Partap Singh signalled a vehicle for checking at Ban Toll Plaza naka.
During search of the vehicle, he said, six animals crammed inside the vehicle without permission were released and rescued.
Police have booked the accused in case FIR number 05/2023 registered under sections 188 IPC and 11 PCA at Police Station Nagrota.
“While the vehicle involved in the offence has been seized, further investigations have been taken up,” said the police spokesperson.
