UDHAMPUR, Feb 22: The Police today seized six bovine animals at Manwal in Majalta and Jakheni in Udhampur area.
Official sources said that Police party from Majalta led by SI Chuni Lal during naka at Manwal, intercepted a Mahindra load carrier bearing registration No. JK02 CA – 5271 for checking and found four bovine animals loaded in it. The vehicle driver managed to escape.
In another case, police party from Udhampur led by Insp Vijay Singh during naka at Jakheni, National Highway intercepted a vehicle bearing registration No. JK02CL/ 7740 for checking. During search of said vehicle, 02 bovine animals were found loaded in it. Both the bovine animals were rescued and the accused driver namely Mumtaz Ahmed, son of Khalil Ahmed of Domel was arrested. A case was registered in this connection.
