JAMMU/SRINAGAR/LEH, Dec 13: Six persons died of COVID-19 in Jammu and Kashmir and 382 tested positive while 505 others recovered from the virus today.
Of six Corona casualties, three each were reported in Jammu and Kashmir divisions.
A 55-year-old woman from Talab Tillo, 60-year-old female from Udheywalla and 70-year-old man from Janipura died of Coronavirus in Jammu region while in Kashmir 60-year-old woman from Boniyar area of Baramulla, a 78-year-old man from Bandipora and 72-year-old man from Pulwama succumbed to the virus.
In Jammu region, 184 positive cases were reported today while 267 were treated.
Jammu region now has 47434 Corona cases. Among them, 2190 are active positives and 44596 have recovered. There have been 648 casualties.
In the Union Territory of Ladakh, 17 new COVID positive cases were reported today, all in Leh district.
Ladakh has 9155 Corona cases including 652 active besides 123 casualties-80 in Leh and 43 in Kargil district.
With three deaths today, the total fatality count in the Valley has reached 1151.
Srinagar district with 433 deaths topped the list followed by Baramulla 169, Budgam 105, Pulwama 88, Kupwara 88, Anantnag 82, Bandipora 57, Kulgam 52, Ganderbal 40 and Shopian 37.
In Kashmir 198 people tested positive for coronavirus taking the number of cases of virus infection to 116008.
Srinagar reported 98, Baramulla 20, Budgam 21, Kupwara 6, Pulwama 18, Anantnag 2, Bandipora 4, Ganderbal 9, Kulgam 3 and Shopian 17 cases.
With today’s cases, Srinagar has 24259 positive cases with 1138 active, 22688 recovered, 433 deaths; Baramulla has 7737 positive cases with 213 active, 7355 recovered, 169 deaths; Pulwama reported 5294 positive cases with 173 active cases, 5033 recovered, 88 deaths; Kulgam has 2627 positive cases with 67 active, 2508 recoveries, 52 deaths; Shopian has 2431 positive cases with 108 active, 2286 recovered and 37 deaths; Anantnag district has 4659 positive cases with 105 active, 4472 recovered, 82 deaths; Budgam has 7311 positive cases with 300 active and 6906 recovered, 105 deaths; Kupwara has 5367 positive cases with 180 active, 5099 recovered, 88 deaths; Bandipora has 4537 positive cases with 107 active, 4373 recovered, 57 deaths and Ganderbal has 4352 positive cases with 121 active cases, 4191recoveries and 40 deaths.
Moreover, 505 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals including 238 from Kashmir division.
