JAMMU, Nov 3: Residency Road police arrested six gamblers along with Rs 38,500 stake money and playing cards.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Residency Road Police Post conducted raid and arrested six gamblers along with Rs 38,500 stake money and playing cards.
The arrested persons have been identified as Khurshid ahmed alias Munna, son of Ghulam Rasool of Talab Kharikan, Pardeep Kumar, son of Des Raj of Miran Sahib, Chetan Sharma, son of Surinder Sharma of Bishnah, Rohit Gupta, son of Romesh Gupta of Jewel Jammu, Naresh Kumar, son of Lal Singh of Nai Basti and Paramjeet Singh, son of Kuldeep Singh of Gandhi Nagar.
All the six gamblers have been booked under section 13 Gambling Act by City Police Station.
Police team led by Incharge Residency Road Police Post SI Ashwani Kumar made the arrest under the supervision of SHO City Inspector Vishal Sharma, SDPO City Varun Jandial, SP City Amritpal Singh and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
