REASI, Nov 14: District Police Reasi today arrested six gamblers and recovered stake money of Rs 17,080 from their possession.
Acting on specific information about gambling in their jurisdictional area, special team of Police Station Reasi conducted raids at Nai Basti Nallah area and arrested gamblers along with stake money.
Police party of Police Station Reasi, under the supervision of SHO Reasi Vijay Sharma and Dy SP Hqrs. Reasi Neeraj Padyar, raided at Nai basti Nallah and arrested six gamblers , identified as Jhuna Mahatoo of Gopal Ganj Bihar, Ghanshyam Das of Chattisgarh, Firto Sahoo of Chattisgarh, Paras Jaiswal of Chattisgarh, Ram Sahoo of Chattisgarh and Shailesh Kumar of Gopal Ganj, Bihar.
All the gamblers were booked under section 13 of Gambling Act at Police Station Reasi.
