JAMMU, June 6: Police in Bus Stand area here claimed today they have arrested six gamblers and recovered Rs 17670 as stake money from their possession.
A police official said that acting on reliable information, a team of Bus Stand Police Station led by SHO concerned, Inspector Vikas Dogra, raided the bustling BC Road area and arrested six notorious gamblers.
All the accused have been accordingly booked under section 13 of the Gambling Act and further investigation into the case taken up.
