JAMMU, Nov 25: Six persons were injured in separate road accidents in different parts of Jammu region.
According to a police spokesperson, Incharge CPO, Samba, Bachchan Lal (50) son of Dhanu Ram of R S Pura and Constable Jatinder Kumar (40), son of Jagdish Raj of Channi Himmat got injured when the Government Gypsy (having registration No JK02AD-5175) they were travelling in turned upside down.
The accident took place when the driver of the vehicle, Constable Jatinder Kumar tried to save an old man who suddenly came in front of the vehicle at National Highway near Patli Morh in Samba district. Both the injured persons were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where there condition is stated to be stable.
A youth identified as Shami Kumar (21) son of Gopal Dass of Marh got injured this evening when the bike he was riding on was hit by a car at Gole Market area of city outskirts.
At Samba, one motorcycle borne youth identified as Sahil son of Purshotam of Gurha in Samba district also received injuries when his bike got slipped.
Two youths also got injured when the car they were travelling in, hit a roadside tree at Bhanara area of Majalta. The injured persons have been identified as Kewal Kumar (24) son of Rattan Chand and Mulkh Raj, both residents of Majalta in Udhampur district.
In all the cases, the injured persons have been shifted to GMCH for treatment and the same time, the concerned police have also taken cognizance of the matter.
