JAMMU, Feb 27: In a move to streamline administration, six Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Services (JKAS) officers have been recalled from the Union Territory of Ladakh to Jammu and Kashmir.

In a subsequent development, the services of 8 other JKAS officers have been placed at the disposal of UT of Ladakh on deputation basis.
As per an order, those officers who have been recalled from the Union Territory of Ladakh to Jammu and Kashmir are Mohammad Nazir Sheikh, Swaran Singh, Abdul Majid, Inzar Ahmad Rana, Junaid Ahmad Bhat, and Khanzada Mohammad Usman.
Further, the officers whose services have been placed at the disposal of the UT of Ladakh are Mohammad Ashraf Bhat, Additional District Development Commissioner, Bandipora; Rakesh Dubey, Joint Registrar, Cooperatives – Banking and Finance, J&K; Abdul Qyume, Deputy Secretary to the Government, Housing and Urban Development Department; Ibad-ur-Rehman, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Baramulla; Ravi Shankar Sharma, Tehsildar, Marmat; Hidaitullah Mir, DSWO, Kupwara; Mir Dawar Habib, BDO, Naidkhai; and Bhushan Kumar Singh, BDO, Thathri, Doda.
The order further said that the deputation of officers to the UT of Ladakh will be for a period of two years or until further orders. During this period, the officers will retain their lien and promotion prospects with their parent departments.
“Additionally, they will be eligible for any incentives offered in the future. All deputed officers are required to report to the General Administration Department of the Union Territory of Ladakh for further assignments,” the order said.
