JAMMU, May 2: The Government today appointed six Judicial Officers as Special Judges Anti-Corruption for trial of offences specified in Section 4 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
As per the order issued by Achal Sethi, Secretary to Government, Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Bala Jyoti has been appointed as Special Judge Anti-Corruption Court (CBI cases), Jammu while as S C Kattal has been appointed as Special Judge Anti-Corruption Court (CBI cases) Srinagar.
Balbir Lal has been appointed as Additional District and Sessions Judge Anantnag (designated Special Court under Prevention of Corruption Act) while as Kusum Pandita has been appointed as Additional District and Sessions Judge Kathua (designated Special Court under Prevention of Corruption Act).
Surinder Singh has been appointed as Special Judge Anti-Corruption Srinagar and Om Prakash Thakur has been appointed as Additional District and Sessions Judge Pulwama (designated Special Court under Prevention of Corruption Act).
As per another order, sanction has been accorded to the appointment on deputation of Mohammad Yousuf Wani, District Judge as Member J&K Special Tribunal, Jeema Bashir, District Judge, as Presiding Officer MACT Srinagar, Kalpana Revo, District Judge as Presiding Officer J&K Labour and Industrial Tribunal, Abdul Nasir, District Judge, as Presiding Officer MACT Jammu and Naushad Ahmed Khan, District Judge, as One Man Forest Authority.
Meanwhile, sanction has been accorded to the appointment of Ajay Kumar Gupta, District Judge, as Principal Judge, Family Court Jammu in terms of Section 4(1) of the Family Courts Act, 1984.
