RAE BARELI : At least six passengers were killed and several others injured when two reserved coaches of Varanasi bound 4266 down Dehradun Janata Express derailed at Uchahar railway station in Northern Railway here today. Railway sources here said the derailment occurred when the train was approaching platform number 3 of the station. The derailed coaches were near the engine with most of the deceased and injured passengers from S-7. The death toll could increase further, officials doing the rescue work told UNI reporter at the spot. Six bodies have been taken out from S-7 coach which was totally damaged. High speed of the train could be the reason behind the mishap.
Relief train has been rushed from Lucknow while injured have been admitted to the hospital.
