6 laborers killed in SW Pakistan firing

Islamabad, Oct 14: Six laborers were killed in firing by unknown gunmen in Pakistan’s southwestern Balochistan province in the wee hours of Saturday morning, police said.
The incident happened in Turbat district where the gunmen attacked the compound of a contractor who hired the laborers from the eastern Punjab province for work, the Turbat police said.
The laborers were sleeping in the compound when the attack happened, and the attackers fled the scene after opening fire.
Two laborers also got injured in the attack and had been shifted to a nearby hospital.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
A heavy contingent of police reached the site following the attack and cordoned off the area for investigations.
