6 make-shift shops completely gutted in accidental fire

UDHAMPUR, Sept 25: Six make-shift vegetable shops were completely gutted in accidental fire near mini bus stand Udhampur.
Even as there was no loss of human life, the vegetable shops were completely gutted in accidental fire that broke in the wee hours today around 4:30 am. These make-shift shops were made of tarpaulin and iron sheets.
The gutted shops belonged to Joginder Paul of village Basan Udhampur, Surinder Kumar of Roun Domail, Pawan Kumar of Chenani, Som Raj of Chenani, Makhtar Chand of Bali Nallha Udhampur, Mushtaq Ahamed of Shiv Nagar Udhampur, who suffered loss of property.
On being informed by the locals, SHO Udhampur, Chaman Gorkha rushed to the spot along with a police team while Jogesh Sharma, Incharge Fire Station Udhampur supervised the fire extinguishing exercise that around one hour to control the blazes.
