SRINAGAR, Aug 14: Director General Prisons P L Gupta has been nominated for Chief Minister’s Vigilance Medal for the year 2014 while the Government announced CM’s Gold Medal for Honesty/Integrity and Meritorious Public Service for the year 2014 to four Civil and a Police officer.
P L Gupta has been announced CM’s Vigilance Medal for displaying conspicuous and exemplary courage in exposing corruption and creating awareness against corrupt practices. The award carries a medal, Rs 51,000 cash and a certificate.
The officers, who have been nominated for Chief Minister’s Gold Medal for Honesty/Integrity and Meritorious Public Service for the year 2014, include; Rakesh Kumar Gupta, Principal Secretary to Governor, Gazzanffer Hussain, Commissioner/Secretary Health and Medical Education Department, Dev Lata, Secretary in Chief Minister’s Secretariat, Showkat Ahmad Beigh, Director Area Planning/Ex-officio Special Secretary to Government, Planning and Development Department and Tashi Rigzin, Director Prosecution, PHQ (Posthumously).
The award carries a Gold Medal, Rs 51,000 cash, a citation and a certificate.
