6 structures damaged in twin blaze incidents

Srinagar, Aug 7: Police today said that 6 structures were damaged in two separate fire incidents in the Valley.
A police spokesman said that the fire broke out in a residential house of Sultan Ahmad Ahanger at Ahanger Mohalla in Khag area central Kashmir’s Budgam district resulting in damage to the structure. “Fire tenders and police brought the fire under control,” he said.
In another incident, the fire broke out in the temporary sheds erected by non-locals at Rakhrath Hamza Mohalla in Bemina area of city outskirts here resulting in complete damage to these makeshifts, the police spokesman said.
He said that nearby houses belonging to Manzoor Ahmad Mir, Ali Mohammad, Nazir Ahmad Sofi, Haji Ghulam Mohammad Lone and Abdul Ahad Sheikh also caught the fire resulting in partial damage to these structures. “Fire tenders, police and locals of the area brought the fire under control,” the spokesman.
“However, no loss of life or injury was reported in these incidents,” the police spokesman added.
