JAMMU, Aug 7: Six vehicles were seized for mining illegally in Jammu District today, police said.
They said on tipper was seized by a team of Police Station Miran Sahib led by SHO concerned, Inspector Bhopinder Singh, another by a team of Police Station Janipur led by SHO Janipur, Inspector Sikandar Singh, three vehicles by a team of Police Station Akhnoor led by SHO Akhnoor, Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq, and one tractor trolley by a team of Police Station Khour led by SHO Khour, Inspector Rahul Mahajan.
“The seized vehicles were mining in violation of a High Court order,” said police, adding that the District Mineral Officer (DMO) has been intimated about the seizures made.
