POONCH, Oct 8: The police seized six vehicles including tractor trolleys for illegal mining in Poonch area today.
Official sources said that on the directions of SSP Poonch, Vinay Kumar Sharma, Police team from Police Station Poonch, headed by Insp Deepak Pathania (SHO) Poonch and assisted by PSI Rahul Angral I/C Police Post, Khari continued its drive against illegal mining and seized six more Tractor -Trolleys.
The vehicles seized included Tractor bearing Chasis No.AZZDK129001193, driven by Shakeel Ahmed, son of Abdul Majid hailing from Poonch; Tractor. bearing Chasis No. HZZDB75026893, driven by Tasveer Hussain, son of Mohd Bashir from Degwar; Tractor bearing Chasis No. AZZDH92288353, driven by Arshad Ahmed, son of Mohd Shabir from Degwar; Tractor bearing Chasis No. AZZDG72233453, driven by Mumtaz Ahmed, son of Ghulam Rasool from Degwar Maldiyalan; Tractor bearing Chasis No.CZZG680297353, driven by Mohd Farooq, son of Majid from Degwar Maldiyalan and Tractor bearing chasis No.HZZDR107165453 and driven by Mohd Sajid, son of Mohd Shabir, hailing from village Chaktroo.
All the vehicles were extracting/carrying minor minerals from Betar Nallah near Poonch without any valid permission. DMO Poonch was informed accordingly, the police said.
