SRINAGAR, May 9: The Government today accorded sanction to appointment of six nominees as Vice Chairpersons on the Board of Directors of the Corporations under the administrative control of Industries and Commerce Department.
According to an order issued by Additional Secretary Industries & Commerce Department, Gulzar Ahmad Dar will be Vice Chairperson of J&K Industries Limited, Syed Attaullah Simnani Vice Chairperson J&K Minerals Limited, Nazir Itoo Vice Chairperson J&K Cements Limited, Nizam-ud-Din Bhat Vice Chairperson J&K Handloom Development Corporation Limited and J&K Handicrafts (S&E) Corporation, Dr Ali Mohammad Mir is Vice Chairperson J&K Small Scale Industries Development Corporation and Subash Jandial as Vice Chairperson J&K State Industrial Development Corporation.
The Vice Chairpersons would be paid a consolidated monthly salary of Rs 80,000 in addition to perks and privileges admissible under relevant rules.
The order of Vice Chairpersons were kept in abeyance by the Election Commission of India as they had been issued only a day before announcement of by-polls to Srinagar and Anantnag Lok Sabha seats.
A total of 16 Vice Chairpersons – 9 from PDP and 7 from BJP had been appointed earlier. The fresh order of others will be issued later.
