JAMMU, Apr 25: Presiding Officer of Fast Track Court, Y P Kotwal today awarded six years imprisonment and fine of Rs 90000 in kidnapping and molestation case.
According to the police case, on March 10, 2011, accused Sunny Sharma kidnapped a 14-years old girl from Bakshi Nagar area and tried to commit rape on her. On getting information about this incident, police registered a case and after completion of investigation presented challan.
After hearing APP GS Charak appearing for the State, Presiding Officer Fast Track Court awarded three years RI and fine of Rs 40000 under Section 363 RPC, one year RI and fine of Rs 20,000 under Section 354 RPC and under Section 325 RPC, two years RI and fine of Rs 30000 to Sunny Sharma.
