SRINAGAR: Sixty people from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) arrived here and only two Kashmiris cross over to other side of the Line of Control (LoC) in the Karvn-e-Aman bus operating between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad.
As many as 20 returnees also cross sides on the LoC at Kaman post, the last Indian military post, in Uri sector in north Kashmir district of Baramulla this afternoon.
Official sources said 60 PoK residents, highest number during 2013, arrived at Kaman post after crossing the Aman Setu, the peace bridge on foot.
Earlier, the highest was 56 PoK residents who visited the state on June 3.
Sources said ten Kahmiris, who had gone to PoK, also returned here after completing their stay across the border.
However, only two Kashmiris crossed over to PoK to meet their relatives, they said adding ten PoK residents, who were here also returned to their homes after completing the stay in Kashmir.
The bus service, started on April 7, 2005, after India and Pakistan agreed to allow travel of state subjects on permits instead of International passports has helped thousands of families, divided due to partition, to meet each other. (AGENCIES)
