DC, ADC, Tehsildar inspect centres

JAMMU, Dec 16: As many as 6000 students appeared in Phase – II Examination of different streams in Paramedical Courses in Jammu division today.
In Jammu Division, a total of 2151 students appeared. Out of them, 560 and 520 were of Female Multipurpose Health Worker for Part I and II respectively, 169 students of Male Multipurpose Health Worker stream for Part I and 114 of Part II, 450 of 3rd year appeared.
Rest of the students were of the streams of Ophthalmic Assistant, Sanitary Inspector, Anaesthesia Assistant, D-Pharmacy and Pharmacist Indian System of Medicine who appeared in different examination centres across Jammu division.
In Jammu district, 2151 students appeared in three centres established in Commerce College, Jammu, Shri Guru Govind Singh Higher Secondary School, Kunjwani and Shiksha Niketan Satwari. In Kishtwar, 201 students, in Doda 288 students, in Poonch 338 students, in Rajouri 539 students, in Udhampur 581 students and in Kathua 561 students appeared in different centres.
During these examination on the special request made by Vice-President J&K State Paramedical Council Dr. Sunanda Raina, Principal and Dean Govt. Medical College Jammu, Dr. A.S.Bhatia, Controller of Examinations & Dr. Sandeep Singh, Registrar J&K State Paramedical Council, the Deputy Commissioners of various Districts including DDC Poonch Rahul Yadav inspected the Examination Centre at Boys Higher Secondary Poonch.
On the direction of respective Deputy Commissioners, teams headed by Tehsildar Mahsood Ahmed, Mukhtyar Ahmed and Ghansham Singh, Additional DC Kathua inspected the Examination Centre at Doda, Rajouri and Kathua respectively.
A team headed by the Vice-President J&K State Paramedical Council Jammu Dr.Sunanda Raina , Dr Sandeep Singh, Registrar and Dr (Prof) A S Bhatia, Controller of Examinations, J&K State Paramedical Council, Jammu inspected the centres of Jammu throughout the day.
Dr. Sunanda Raina lauded all those involved in the process for successful completion of the Phase-II Paramedical Examination and stressed that all efforts to improve the paramedical training Programmes in the State will be taken to produce a well trained Paramedical Force in the State.
In Srinagar, inspite of the disturbed conditions, examination of various Paramedical Courses was conducted peacefully through out Kashmir Division.
A team headed by Dr. Samia Rashid, President J&K State Paramedical Council and Dr. A R Badoo, Controller of Examinations, Srinagar Division inspected the centres through out Kashmir division and expressed their satisfaction over peaceful conduct of Paramedical Examination.
