NEW DELHI: Actor and anchor Jay Bhanushali says he will prefer to do webseries more than films.
Talking, Jay who was in the national capital on Friday, said webseries is something he is currently looking for.
“There are couple of things that I will be finalising. More than films I am excited more about webseries now. The whole world watches webseries with subtitles also,” he said.
When asked if he will ever take part in reality show like ‘Bigg Boss’, Jay said, ” I don’t think I am ‘Bigg Boss’ material. I only work once a week, so people are seeing my funnier part once a day. But I am not that funny everyday.”
“I react the way any common man will react in a fight, or something. I am not comfortable to show my personal life. I don’t think 24×7 I can entertain people. I don’t like restrictions on me. When I get those restrictions I go into a shell and then I want to go to some hill station and relax for months and months,” he said.
The actor said though he looks very cool and funny but he is very short tempered.
“I don’t think if someone talks to me rudely or talks bad about my family, I would let that person go. No contract can stop me to break his nose,” Jay said.
On asking his criteria of signing a show, Jay said he first sees the team behind the show.
“I understand reality shows more now. I understand what people are looking for right now. So ‘DID Li’l Masters’ is my baby. This is one show, even if I am not a part of it, I would want it to be great. Beacuse I started this show. People will always remember me as the original anchor of the DID. So yeah it’s nice,” he said.
Talking about his journey as an anchor in ‘Dance India Dance’, Jay said, ” It has been fantastic. I am enjoying my anchoring days. Earlier it used to be very irritating because I was not used to the medium and I was little scared to come on the stage. But now it’s my baby.”
” I know what is gonna happened, and how it is gonna happened. I know what audiences want from me so now it is much more easier for me to do reality shows,” he said.
On why he is choosing reality shows over fictional shows, Jay said,” My first preference is always going to be fictional shows. I love acting. I always wanted to be an actor and I am missing those days where I used to do all romantic scenes, action sequences, emotional scenes. This is why I struggled for so many days, months, to get my first show ‘Kayamath’.”
“So yeah it’s been long I have not taken up anything on the daily soaps but definitely in the coming months you will get me thing,” he said.
While, Jay said doing anything is monotonous.
“If I do acting shows also that will be also monotonous,” he added.
Talking about his association with DID Li’l Masters and his visit to Delhi, host Jay said, “I have been associated with ‘Dance India Dance’ since its first season, and hosting the fourth edition of DID Li’l Masters feels like a homecoming to me. The young contestants of DID Li’l Masters are extremely talented and it has been an enriching experience to host the show because they’re powerhouse performers.”

This season is all about these ‘Blockbuster Bacche’ entertaining audiences with stellar performances every weekend, and the contestants are constantly attempting to out-do themselves,” he said.
“Delhi never fails to amaze me with its love and warmth, and I hope that the city will extend the same love and support to ‘DID Li’l Masters’ as we celebrate the incredible talent that resides here,” the 33-years-old actor said.
On being asked about the film front, the ‘Hate Story 2’ actor said,”I am not that type of actor who wants to do films only.I am waiting for some good projects. I want to do important roles, some big films. Not a lead role, I don’t mind.I want to do films where my talent is being appreciated.”
