60th State Conference of ABVP commences at Samba

SAMBA, Dec 28: The 60th State Conference of Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Jammu & Kashmir was today commenced at Mahaveer International School, Vijaypur (Samba).
The inaugural ceremony was inaugurated by Padam Shree Romalo Ram (Dogri Folk Artist) as Chief Guest and Devyani Singh Rana (CEO, Take One Media), Aditya Takiar (National Secretary, ABVP) as Guest of Honour.
Hira Lal Abrol (Chairman, MV International School) welcomed all the delegates and guests in this conference.
He said that it is the honour that our school is hoisting this state conference.
Romalo Ram in his address said, “ABVP is doing a great job in national reconstruction by engaging the youth in national work through different activities.”
“ABVP has been working for a long time in the education field and it is our duty to preserve our knowledge, literature and languages. It is also a great honour to me that a local dogri artist becomes part of this conference and dogri culture is being promoted in exhibition,” he said.
Devyani Singh Rana said, “ABVP provides better platform to students to develop their ideas and thoughts for the contribution of nation.”
She recalls the various movements of ABVP in Jammu and Kashmir to establish the nationalist thought among youths.
National Secretary ABVP, Aditya Takiar said that ABVP is the organisation, who called for Chalo Kashmir in 90’s to establish the Tiranga at Lal Chowk.
Vote of Thanks was presented by Vikas Sambyal, Welcome Committee Secretary.
In total 525 students across Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh are attending the Conference.
State President ABVP Jammu Kashmir, Dr Ajay Kumar Sharma and State Secretary, Sanak Shrivats were also present on stage during this inaugural ceremony.
