Sugar settles quiet on sporadic demand

NEW DELHI, May 15: Sugar prices ended quiet at the wholesale market in the national capital today following scattered buying by stockists and bulk consumers amid adequate stocks.
Marketmen said scattered buying by stockists and bulk consumers, such as soft-drink and ice-cream makers for summer session managed to hold sweetener prices at overnight levels.

Sugar retail markets – Rs 29.00-32.00 per kg.
Sugar ready: M-30 Rs 2,800-2,930, S-30 Rs 2,790-2,920.
Mill delivery: M-30 Rs 2,600-2,725, S-30 Rs 2,590-2,715.
