JAMMU, Apr 9: A total of 64 new COVID-19 positive cases were reported today in Jammu and Kashmir, 24 from Jammu division and 40 from Kashmir region.
According to the reports, highest number of 19 cases were reported from Jammu district, followed by 8 from Pulwama, 7 from Srinagar, 6 each from Kulgam and Budgam, 4 each from Ganderbal and Anantnag, 3 cases from Bandipora and 2 from Baramulla while 1 case each was detected in Doda, Kathua, Samba, Kishtwar and Ramban districts.
Reports said that a total of 3,293 COVID tests were conducted in the Union Territory during last 24 hours. The number of active COVID cases in the UT as on date is 392,142 in Jammu Division and 250 in Kashmir Valley whereas 20 COVID patients (all from Kashmir Division) recovered today.
The highest number of 86 active cases are in Jammu district, followed by 66 in Srinagar, 38 in Budgam, 34 in Kulgam, 32 in Baramulla, 26 in Pulwama, 17 in Bandipora, 15 in Ganderbal, 13 in Samba, 11 each in Anantnag and Ramban districts, 10 in Kupwara, 9 in Udhampur, 7 in Poonch, 4 each in Doda and Reasi, 3 each in Kathua and Kishtwar while 2 cases are in Rajouri and 1 in Shopian district.
