66 COVID cases in Jammu, 63 in Valley

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/LEH, Aug 13: Sixty six persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Jammu region, 63 in Kashmir and nine in the Union Territory of Ladakh as no casualties were reported today.
Three new cases of mucromycosis (black fungus) were reported in Jammu and Kashmir taking total such cases to 41.
Among 66 new cases in Jammu region, 16 were registered in Doda district, 15 in Reasi including nine travelers who tested positive on their arrival at Katra Railway Station, 15 in Jammu, nine Rajouri, five Udhampur, three Kishtwar and one each in Kathua, Samba and Poonch districts. Ramban district didn’t report any fresh cases today.
Sixty patients today recovered from the virus.
Jammu region now has 1,22,465 Corona cases. Among them, 572 are active positives while 1,19,737 have recovered from the virus and there have been 2156 casualties.
The UT of Ladakh today reported nine new cases of COVID-19 including seven in Leh district and two in Kargil.
Corona count in Ladakh has gone up to 20430. Of them, only 87 are active positive cases while 20136 have recovered and there were 207 casualties—149 in Leh and 58 in Kargil.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 63 fresh cases of COVID-19.
Those who tested positive include 21 from Srinagar, 8 from Baramulla, 11 from Budgam, 2 from Pulwama, 3 from Kupwara, 5 from Anantnag, 5 from Ganderbal and 8 from Kulgam.
As per officials figures, 71,759 positive cases including 834 deaths and 70,613 recoveries are from Srinagar, 23,751 including 282 deaths and 23,384 recoveries are from Baramulla, 23,007 including 22,718 recoveries and 206 deaths are from Budgam, 15,246 including 15,014 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,141 including 165 deaths and 13,935 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,366 including 16,126 recoveries and 205 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,541 cases including 9,394 and 100 deaths are from Bandipora, 10,004 including 9,856 recoveries and 78 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,322 including 11,168 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,588 including 5,526 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.
The number of positive cases in Kashmir division has reached 200,725 including 197,734 recoveries and 2,239 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,324 including 752 from Kashmir division.
With 112 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 317,471, which is 98.23 percent of the total cases.
