66th Republic Day celebrated by Army with great charm

JAMMU, Jan 27: The 66th Republic Day was celebrated by the Army with great fervour and charm across the State yesterday.
The Rashtriya Rifles (RR) located at Bhaderwah under the aegis of the counter insurgency force (Delta)’ celebrated the 66th Republic Day in the area of Responsibility. As a prelude to the Republic Day Celebrations, the Rashtriya Rifles already organized a T-20 Friendly Cricket match between Army team and a mixed team of SDM and a mixed team of SDM Bhadarwah, staff of Bhadarwah Campus, University of Jammu, a quiz competition for children of Bhalla and Swacch Bharat drive at Chinta.
The army also organized Republic Day celebrations in the remote area of Bhadarwah including Shankhoja, Bhalla, Chinta, Goha, Bihota and Sitengal. The highlights of the even were hoisting of National Flag, singing of National Anthem in chorus and various cultural programmes.
The RR Battalions under Romeo Force, Uniform Force and Delta Force celebrated the 66th Republic Day along with the people of Rajouri, Poonch, Reasi, and Bhadarwah with great pomp and show. At all these locations the event started with hoisting of National Flag and singing of National Anthem in presence of prominent citizens, school children, veterans and village elders.
