67 youths sent to Central Jail

Srinagar, Oct 30: A court in South Kashmir’s Shopian district have sent 67 youths who were held for rioting to Central Jail Srinagar for judicial custody.
Police yesterday arrested 67 boys from Shopian Town as they were asking local shopkeepers to observe shutdown against killing of Lashakr-e-Toiba commander, Abu Qasim.
A police officer told Excelsior that the youths were present in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Shopian who sent them to Central Jail for three days. “They have been sent on judicial custody,” he said.
Police had also seized five vehicles bearing registration numbers JK03D – 9516, JK03B – 6660, JK03C – 2159, JKI3A – 6353 and JK13C – 5270 as they had come on these vehicles from Pulwama district.
