7.1 pc interest on GPF for 3rd, 4th quarters of 2020-21

JAMMU, Mar 17: The accumulations at the credit of subscribers to General Provident Fund shall carry interest of 7.1 percent for the third and fourth quarters of the current financial year.
An order in this regard was issued today by the Finance Department of J&K Government, according to which rate of interest on GPF for the period October 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021 shall be 7.1 percent.
The order is in pursuant to the notification number 5(2)-B (PD)/2020, dated 27-102020, read with notification number 5(2)-B (PD)/2020, dated 06-01-2021, issued by the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of finance, Government of India.
