UDHAMPUR, Feb 4: Udhampur Police today rescued seven bovine animals when it intercepted a Kashmir bound vehicle under the jurisdiction of Police Station Rehambal
Based on some reliable information, a Police party of Police Station Rehambal, led by SHO Paramjeet Singh, under the supervision of Zahid Saif Wani, Dy SP Hqrs Udhampur, laid a surprise naka at NHW near Flata Chowk, Udhampur for checking of vehicles.
Police party intercepted one Mahindra vehicle bearing Registration number JK02 BF 9688. During the checking , seven bovine animals were found loaded in the vehicle, which was on way to Kashmir without permission. All the bovine animals were rescued and the accused driver namely Mohd Shabir, son of Mangu of Verinag, alongwith his associate Mohd Rafiq, son of Noor Hussain of Quazigund, were arrested on the spot and vehicle was seized.
In this connection, a case FIR number 21 /2019 U/S 188, RPC, 3 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Rehambal and further investigation is going on.
