UDHAMPUR, Jan 16: Police today foiled a bovine smuggling attempt and rescued 7 bovines besides arresting two smugglers at Majalta.
Police team of Police Station Majalta, led by SHO Sohan Singh, while performing vehicle checking duty at Battal, Dhar road, stopped one load carrier bearing registration number JK14G- 9997.
During checking, seven bovines were found laden inside the vehicle without any valid permission. Police rescued the bovines arrested the driver, identified as Mohd Sharief, son of Mirza Khan of Dhamma, Majalta and his associate Mohd Sharief, son of Hakam Din of Krimachi, Mansar.
In this regard, case FIR No. 06/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Majalta.
