UDHAMPUR, Dec 26: Police foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Ramnagar and rescued seven bovines besides arresting the alleged smuggler.
Police team of Police Station Ramnagar, led by SHO S D Singh, intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK14K-2362 at Badhole.
During checking, seven bovines were found laden inside the vehicle and being transported illegally without any valid permission.
Driver of the vehicle namely Joginder Kumar, son of Paras Ram of Badhole, Ramnagar was arrested on the spot while all the bovines were rescued and shifted to a safer place.
In this regard, case FIR No. 129/2024 has been registered under relevant sections of law, at Police Station Ramnagar.
