UDHAMPUR, Mar 24: The police rescued seven bovine animals and seized vehicle used for bovine smuggling in Sudhmahadev area of Chenani today.
Official sources said that a Police team of Police Post Sudhmahadev led by PSI Raman Kumar foiled bovines smuggling bid and rescued seven milch animals. A Mahindra Yodha vehicle bearing registration number JK14J-1971 being used for smuggling of bovines was also seized at Sudhmahadev naka point during checking.
The bovine animals were found loaded in the vehicle in very cruel manner. A case was registered in this connection.
