7 drug peddlers arrested with heroin, cash

JAMMU, Sept 8: Police arrested seven drug peddlers along with heroin and cash.
As per police sources, a police team led by SDPO Nagrota Mohan Sharma and assisted by SHO Nagrota Inspector Mohammad Showkat and Incharge Police Post Sidhra SI Zaheer Manhas conducted series of raids at various places across Jammu and apprehended 7 peddlers.
The arrested peddlers were identified as Bharigu Sharma, son of Vijay Kumar Sharma of Nanak Nagar Jammu, Ashok Chib, son of Kamal Singh Chib of Ghou Manhasa, District Jammu, Sunil Kumar, son of Jagar Ram of Bhadrore, Pouni Chak, Salman Sajjad, son of Sajjad Hussain of Umar Mohalla District Kishtwar, at present Bathindi, Satnam Singh, son of Jagbir Singh of Camp Gole Gujaral, Jammu, Tajinder Singh alias Punjabi, son of Satveer Singh of Amritsar Punjab, at present Preet Nagar, Jammu and Umer Nazir, son of Nazir Choudhary of Mendhar, District Poonch, at present Polly Hill, Bhatindi Jammu.
A total of 110 grams heroin along with cash of Rs 2,27,000 were recovered from the possession of arrested persons.
Additionally, 4 vehicles including Range Rover, Creta, Wagon R and Ambulance were also seized.
A case under FIR Number 353/19 under section 8/21/22/27-A NDPS Act, 279 RPC at Police Station Nagrota and investigation initiated.
