7 gamblers arrested, Rs 20,270 recovered as stake money

SAMBA, Nov 8: In its ongoing efforts to weed out social crime from the society, Samba police has arrested seven gamblers in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS), Bari Brahmana and recovered stake money amounting to Rs 20,270/- from their possession.
Acting on specific information about gambling in their jurisdiction, a police party of PS Bari Brahmana raided the gambling spot at industrial area Bari Brahmana and arrested seven gamblers along with stake money of Rs. 20,270 besides a set of playing cards.
The gamblers have been identified as Sher Bhadur, S/o Prem Bhadur, Motey Gurung S/o Dhan Lal Gurung, Inder Bhadur S/o Jeet Bhadur, Ram Bhadur S/o Tara Bhadur, Makhan Bhadur, S/o Dhan Lal Bhadur, Lakh Bhadur S/o Prem Bhadur and Prem Bhadur S/o Man Bhadur.
All are residents of Nepal who are at present residing at Industrial area Bari Brahmana.
Taking cognizance into the matter all the gamblers were booked under Section 13 of Gambling Act at PS Bari Brahmana.
