SAMBA, Mar 15: Ghagwal police has arrested seven gamblers and recovered Rs 8650 stake money from their possession at Ghagwal in district Samba today.
Police said that on the basis of an information about gambling, a team of District Special Branch(DSB) Samba raided at Gambling site village Surara and arrested seven gamblers along with State money of Rs 8650 from their possession and also playing cards recovered from spot and handed over to Ghagwal Police.
The accused have been identified as Balbir Chand, son of Bachitar Singh, Ravi Kumar, son of Ramesh Kumar, Ram Dayal son of Dhanu Ram, Babishan Lal, son of Birbal, Vijay Singh, son of Tola Ram, Shanker Singh, son of Anchal Singh and Raghu Nandan, son of Ram Rattan all are resident of Surara, Ghagwal.
In this regard police has taken cognizance the matter and started investigation.
