JAMMU, Dec 8: Seven gamblers were arrested along with playing cards and a cash amount of about Rs 58000 from Bus Stand area.
“All the accused were arrested from Karan Tour and Travels during the intervening night of December 8 and 9 during a raid conducted by a police team of police stand Bus Stand after getting a tip off,” a police official said.
He said the accused have been identified as Ranveer Ahmed of Srinagar, Rajesh Suri son of Yash Pal, resident of Jagti (Nagrota), Sunny Kumar son of Ram Lal of Bakshi Nagar, Subhash Chander son of Puran Chander of Resham Ghar Colony, Mohit Sharma of Shalo Ram of Krishna Nagar (Jammu), Sandeep Kumar son of Mohan Lal of Barnai and Shamsher son of Darshan Lal of Ghou Manhasan.
“A case in this connection has been registered at police station and investigations started,” the official added.
