POONCH, Sept 16: Seven persons were injured after a truck and Xylo vehicle collided in Behramgalla area on Mughal road in Surankote tehsil of Poonch district today.
Official sources said that a xylo vehicle bearing registration number JK14 C- 2788 was on its way towards Kashmir from Poonch sode, while a truck with registration number JK08F- 7247 was coming from the opposite direction. Both the vehicles collided in Behramgalla area on the Mughal Road, resulting the injuries to seven persons.
“The injured persons were identified as Rayasat Khan, son of Mohd Younis; Mohd Razak, son of Lal Khan; Tariq Khan, son of Abdul Quyoom; Shabina, wife of Mohd Bashrat; Saleema Bi, wife of Mohd Sageer; Moheen Khan, son of Imtayaz Khan and Mohd Bashrat, son of Khan Mohd, all residents of Mendhar. They were shifted to a nearby hospital for immediate treatment”, they added.
Incharge Block Medical Officer Surankote Dr Tariq said that all the injured were initially treated there and later three among them were referred to GMC Rajouri.
A Police officer said that, a case FIR number 301/2022, under sections 269, 337 IPC has been registered in Police Station Surankote and investigation was taken up.
