REASI, Dec 6: Seven persons were injured when a mini bus rolled down into river Chenab at Baba Morh, near Arnas.
The accident took place on Arnas – Reasi road early this morning when the mini bus, bearing registration number JK02AH- 8055 skidded off the road and rolled down into Chenab river.
Locals and Police launched rescue operation and shifted the injured persons to PHC Arnas. After first aid, four of the injured were referred to District Hospital Reasi for further treatment.
The injured were identified as Mashooq Ahmed, age 28 years, son of Mohd Ishaq, resident Jamlan tehsil Mahore; Sourav, age 28 years, son of Pawan Kumar, resident of Himachal; Ronak Kumar, age 15 years, son of Davinder Kumar, resident of Kanthan, tehsil Arnas; Hardev Singh, age 19 years, son of Khajoor Singh, resident of Matlote, tehsil Thuroo; Pawan Singh, age 43 years, son of Dhani Ram, resident of Arnas; Ruksana Akhtar, age 18 years, daughter of Afjal Khan, resident of Arnas and Anuj Singh, age 18 years, son of Budhi Singh, resident of Matlote, Tehsil Thuroo.
